Amna Academy: Breaking Educational Barriers for Students with Hearing and Visual Impairments

Amna Academy, a UK-based nonprofit organization, is on a mission to eliminate the educational barriers faced by students with hearing and visual impairments. By providing global access to visual and audible educational content, Amna Academy aligns closely with Kushtie's vision of corporate social responsibility and social impact, especially in the realm of inclusive education.

Challenge(s):

As a newly established NGO, Amna Academy encountered significant technical and operational hurdles. The organization lacked the expertise to digitize and publish educational content for students in need worldwide. Additionally, the founders struggled with building a robust organizational structure and securing the necessary funds for growth, all of which required resources they did not have.

Solution(s):

Leveraging our extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, particularly in supporting students with special needs, Kushtie partnered with Amna Academy to provide comprehensive digital transformation and operational support. Key solutions included:

  • NGO Development and Structuring
  • LMS (Learning Management System) Design and Development
  • Launch of the first video content in Sign Language for students with hearing impairments
  • Proposal Writing and Fundraising Management
  • Marketing and Social Media Strategy

Result:

Our partnership resulted in the successful incorporation of Amna Academy in the UK, with Kushtie appointed as the organization’s official Technical Partner. The launch of the Amna Academy online school, complete with visual content in Sign Language, provided students with hearing impairments access to educational resources. Additionally, our fundraising efforts led to the creation of sustainable budgeting plans and digital fundraising strategies, securing financial resources for Amna Academy’s growth.
